What about the Flood?

Surely you don't believe in Noah's flood?

Jesus makes mention of Noah's flood as though He believed it happened. In Lk 17: 27 Jesus says that the Flood destroyed "all" but Noah's immediate family. St Peter prophesied that there would be scoffers in 2 Pet 3: 3-6 (obviously disbelievers in the Flood could be included here in a general way). And the Church has never taught that Noah's flood did not happen. So, as usual, the onus of proof is on the Bible skeptic to come up with reasons to doubt the Flood. There is, at present, a mounting body of scientific evidence favouring the Flood of Noah (answersingenesis.org).
